I am absolutely opposed to the granting of a parole to RICKY CARTER, TDCJ ID: 01009150.

Mr. Carter was sentenced to 20 years in prison for INTOXICATION MANSLAUGHTER of four teen-age girls in the tiny community of Brock.  I can remember the horror of this crash and
the devastation of four families, students, and the entire town.

Ricky Carter has served just 8 years jail time.  It is really unacceptable for Mr. Carter to be paroled at this time when he would be out on the streets driving and endangering other families and their precious children.  It would be an outrageous insult to the families he has devastated.

My husband and I lost our only daughter, Kara, to an underage driver who was drinking and killed both our daughter and the young man she was dating.  So, we know the agony these families have gone through and we can understand how they feel their futures have been destroyed.

I have personally spent almost 15 years as a volunteer MADD Victim Advocate in Collin County and have spent many hours helping the victims get through the trials, listened to many heartbroken parents, friends, families as they try to put their lives together in some kind of peace.

This crash did not have to happen.  These precious girls suffered the result of Mr. Carterís lack of concern for anybody but himself.  They were caught up in the consequences of Mr. Carterís actions with his decision to drive while impaired by alcohol.

Please do not grant parole to Mr. Carter after only 8 years.  The families of these girls need to be told that their daughters are worth more than that.

Thank you for your time.
